No one likes a breakout. Whether it’s that time of the month, an unexpected stress spot or a long term struggle, we’re here to help you find the best solution.
Best for monthly breakouts:
If blemishes like to regularly appear on your face (usually around the chin or jaw area) it’s more than likely caused by the monthly eruption of hormones that mother nature likes to deliver. Although these breakouts might be put to the back of your mind until you wake up with a planet-sized pimple on your face, the key is to maintain an effective skincare routine throughout the rest of the month, to reduce the likely hood of a breakout, and to help any stubborn spots clear up quicker.
Your saviour is going to be regular exfoliation, clearing out the pores, keeping them free of excess oil, dead skin cells and bacteria. Using the Dermaquest Dermaclear Pads times a week will accomplish all this in one quick swish. The pads are submerged in a wonderful cocktail of salicylic acid, tea tree and aloe. You can use these on the affected area, or all over the face and neck after cleansing, with no need to rinse after, it is that easy! These pads are also great to use on the body for breakouts on the chest or back too.
For occasional one-off spots:
No matter how well we look after our skin, no one is immune to spots, even after our teenage years. If you are someone, that doesn’t have particularly oily skin and wants to ‘pin point’ the affected area, spot-on treatments are your friend (or spot off is more appropriate). The Environ Clarity+ Sebu-Spot Blemish Gel is a hand-bag sized spot rescue in a bottle. Apply a small amount to the affected area with your fingertips, or a cotton bud morning and/or evening. The concoction of niacinamide, tea tree and sebacic acid, means it’s suitable for client’s with an aspirin allergy, whilst still delivering anti-sceptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-breakout results.
Belmish prone veteran:
It can affect your self-confidence if you are continually breaking out, you long to know what a good-skin day feels like, and your bathroom cupboard is overflowing with lotions and potions which did not clear anything up apart from your bank account! At No.6, we like to approach things from all angles. Applying products topically can achieve great results for some people, but for those of us who have to face waking up to a new blemish, bump and breakout every day, it can feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. This is where we want to introduce you to Advance Nutrition Programme (ANP) and specifically one of their supplements called Accumax. Containing vitamins A, C and E, it nourishes your skin from the inside out, there will be no redness, dryness and irritated skin associated with harsh skincare products. Maybe it’s time to try a different approach to banishing your breakouts. Feed your skin from within…
